The REV Group REV OpEx Specialist will be focused on leading continuous improvement projects that support the business goals of AEV through the Goal Deployment Process (GDP). Improvement projects will involve departments such as Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations. The REV OpEx Specialist will facilitate improved outcomes of processes to drive efficiencies, reduce cost, and increase customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • The REV OpEx Specialist will work with their BU's REV OpEx Manager to execute/facilitate improvement projects.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects through focused Kaizens to achieve measured results and targeted hard savings.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to eliminate waste, troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues, material flow, and informational inputs that may lead to inefficiencies.
  • Coach and train both hourly and salaried employees on any specific related OpEx improvements.
  • Help support and develop a culture that promotes operational excellence and continuous improvements.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate the scope of projects and report to upper management with weekly status reports.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and drive project activities, manage project risks, issues, changes, and resources, and take corrective actions when necessary. Decides and initiates action.
  • Provides the project team with a clear sense of direction, motivating and empowering them to initiate sustainable improvements to their current processes and work environments.
  • Build teamwork through engagement and align team members by tying to individual and collective goals.
  • Evaluate and close the project, identify and analyze lessons learned, archive project documents, and hand over the project to the customer and/or process owner.
  • Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments using periodical reports and/or analyses

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

  • Bachelor's degree, preference for Engineering, technical or finance-related degrees, or 1-3 years of experience in Operations
  • Solid awareness of operations and business processes.
  • Passion for change and continuous improvement, must be self-motivated, have initiative, and have a positive attitude.
  • Able to train and impart knowledge to others and to learn quickly
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritize work through basic project management skills
  • Demonstrated high-performance levels and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Team management skills and the capability to lead change
  • Able to work effectively across different organizational levels, from shop floor to BU management
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish required

  • Customer Advocacy.  ALPs should readily communicate their understanding of customer needs.

  • Communication. REV OpEx Specialist are effective communicators, essential for the many roles they serve: trainers, coaches, and mentors.
  • Business Acumen. REV OpEx Specialist should have the business knowledge and the ability to link projects and desired business results.
  • Project Management. Knowledge of project management fundamentals and experience managing projects is essential.
  • Technical Aptitude.  Proficient in the use of tools such as Microsoft Office to analyze data, create reports and presentations.
  • Team Player and Leader. REV OpEx Specialist must possess the ability to lead, work with teams, be part of a team, and understand team dynamics (forming, storming, norming, performing).
  • Result Oriented. REV OpEx Specialists are expected to perform and produce tangible financial results for the business. They must be hard-working and quick to demonstrate success.
  • Fun. REV OpEx Specialist should enjoy their job if they are passionate.  They must also be creative in how to engage and motivate as well as reward their teams, and fundamentally make the project work fun and rewarding.

The pay scale for newly hired employees in this position at this location in California is between $70,304 - $87,500.  This is based on meeting all of the requirements of the role. The base pay offered for the role may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  We are proud to offer competitive benefits in addition to competitive pay.
