Description

Implement, support, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments utilizing Cisco and other networking technologies.

Assist with cloud connectivity deployments and support, including cloud on-ramp solutions and hybrid network integrations.

Support production environments by investigating and resolving network incidents and service requests.

Perform daily network health checks and routine operational maintenance activities.

Monitor network performance and assist in identifying and resolving connectivity or performance issues.

Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and support network-related solutions.

Participate in network implementation projects, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle refresh activities.

Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, asset inventories, and operational procedures.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of Method of Procedures (MoPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.

Assist with deployment and activation of network circuits including Ethernet, MPLS, and private connectivity services.

Support disaster recovery activities, including backup validation, configuration management, and recovery documentation.

Work with engineers and architects to implement network solutions aligned with established standards and designs.

Participate in an on-call rotation to support production environments during after-hours incidents.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support technology integrations, migrations, and operational improvements.

Assist with network device upgrades, software maintenance, and firmware updates across enterprise infrastructure.

Support data center networking environments, including troubleshooting and operational maintenance activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Cisco CCNP certification preferred; CCNA certification with relevant experience will be considered.

Experience supporting cloud networking environments within Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Exposure to Palo Alto and/or Fortinet firewall technologies.

Experience supporting data center networking environments utilizing Cisco Nexus platforms.

Familiarity with Cisco ACI concepts and leaf-spine architectures.

Exposure to network automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, or REST APIs.

Experience coordinating with telecommunications providers for circuit installations and troubleshooting.

Knowledge of network monitoring, configuration management, and operational support tools.

Cisco Nexus 5000, 7000, and 9000 Series

Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series and related switching platforms

Cisco ACI environments

Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS technologies

TACACS and authentication services

Ethernet, MPLS, and WAN connectivity solutions

This is a Contract position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $80.00/hr.
