Location: St. Clairsville, OH (Travel Required)

Our client is seeking a Field Network Technician to support networking operations across field locations in and around St. Clairsville, Ohio. This is a highly visible, hands-on role responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading networking equipment that supports critical operational infrastructure. This position is initially structured as a contract engagement with strong potential to convert to a full-time employee based on project success and business needs.

• Install, configure, and maintain networking equipment at remote field locations.
• Support network modernization initiatives, including equipment replacement and technology upgrade projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues to ensure operational continuity.
• Coordinate with operations teams to schedule outages, maintenance activities, and field deployments.
• Provide on-site technical support to field personnel.
• Assist users with software applications used to connect with operational technology (OT) devices.
• Travel regularly to field sites within a 1.5–2 hour radius of St. Clairsville, Ohio.

• Strong networking background with proven hands-on experience.
• Experience supporting and maintaining field-based network environments.
• Comfortable working independently in remote locations.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout the region.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Experience with:

• Routers
• Firewalls
• Wireless / Wi-Fi networks
• Network switches

Experience supporting industrial or OT environments and familiarity with applications such as:

• ABB Totalflow
• Red Lion
• Rockwell Automation
• Cygnet

• Strong potential for full-time conversion.

This is a field-based role requiring regular travel throughout Eastern Ohio. Candidates should enjoy working in a hands-on environment and be comfortable supporting technology outside of a traditional office setting.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
