How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Review the event worksheet before arriving at the event--be knowledgeable about the event you are working, timeline, bar type, food, etc.
  • Check in with the Event Captain or Co-Captain when you arrive at the event and when you leave.
  • Help unload the GG vehicle and set up the bar area and all appropriate glassware.
  • During the event, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests, answer questions about drink ingredients and make suggestions for different types of beverages and cocktails.
  • Verify that all guests served alcohol are of the legal drinking age.
  • If the event has a cash bar, take payments for drinks (cash or credit, using the Square app).
  • At the end of the event, clean up the bar area; pack all beer and wines back into the appropriate boxes.
  • Assist with the general breakdown of the event; ensure no food, plates, beverages, or other debris remain behind and that rentals are neatly stacked in the appropriate location.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • 2+ years of bartending experience, preferably in a catering/banquet setting
  • Able to follow directions and work independently
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • This is a very physical position--must be able to bend, twist, lift at least 50 pounds, and stand on your feet for long periods of time
