Responsibilities and Duties
Transportation Operations
  • Safely operate trolley vehicles on designated routes throughout Callaway Gardens.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and transportation safety procedures.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain established schedules while ensuring guest safety remains the top priority.
  • Operate vehicles safely during high-volume attendance periods, special events, and varying weather conditions.
  • Guest Service
  • Greet guests in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Provide information regarding attractions, events, dining locations, lodging areas, and park amenities.
  • Assist guests with directions and general wayfinding throughout the Gardens.
  • Create a positive and memorable transportation experience for all guests.
  • Passenger Safety
  • Ensure guests safely board and exit the trolley at designated stops.
  • Monitor passenger behavior to maintain a safe riding environment.
  • Assist guests with mobility needs, strollers, and accessibility accommodations when appropriate.
  • Communicate safety instructions and operational updates to passengers.
  • Operational Support
  • Work closely with Loaders, Greeters, Guest Services, Safety, and Operations teams.
  • Assist with transportation planning during festivals, races, holiday events, and other special programs.
  • Support crowd management efforts during peak attendance periods.
  • Communicate route delays, guest concerns, and operational issues to supervisors.
  • Vehicle Care & Maintenance
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards for trolley vehicles.
  • Report mechanical issues, safety hazards, or damage immediately.
  • Assist with fueling, charging, and basic upkeep as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
  • Previous transportation, traffic control, security, hospitality, or event operations experience preferred
  • Ability to safely operate golf carts, shuttles, trolleys, or utility vehicles preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic or high-stress situations

Physical Requirements:
  • Long hours are sometimes required.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 25pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand for long hours at a time.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Be able to positively motivate and lead a team, conveying information and ideas clearly and effectively so that ownership of high levels of guest service is understood to be the role of each individual team member.
  • Be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Be able to work well in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity, including the ability to listen carefully to and resolve guest issues to the satisfaction of the affected guests.
  • Be able to identify potential guest issues and then develop methodologies to prevent or limit the impact of those guest issues during guest visits.
  • Be able to assimilate complex information and data for various sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the need.
  • Be able to effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.
  • Be able to work with and understand financial information and data and perform basic math functions.

*This position is a seasonal position, and shifts will be given from September through the first week of January.
