Job description

Private Duty Home Services is a locally owned, nurse-led home care agency serving the Tri-Cities area. We are currently building a strong PRN coverage team to support our growing client base.

This position is ideal for caregivers who want flexible hours while remaining part of a professional, well-supported team.


Position Overview

We are hiring dependable caregivers who are willing to:

  • Pick up open shifts

  • Cover call-outs and last-minute needs

  • Travel within the Tri-Cities area (Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, Elizabethton Rogersville, and surrounding areas)

  • Work a mix of short shifts, extended shifts, days, evenings, or weekends as available

PRN caregivers are essential to maintaining continuity of care for our clients.


What We’re Looking For
  • Strong attendance and reliability

  • Clear, professional communication

  • Ability to accept shifts on short notice when available

  • Comfortable traveling up to 45–60 minutes when needed

  • Ability to work independently in client homes

  • At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred

You must be willing to follow all company call-in procedures and communication policies.


Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Reliable personal vehicle

  • Active auto insurance

  • Ability to pass background check and on-boarding requirements


What You’ll Do
  • Provide non-medical in-home care

  • Assist with personal care, companionship, meal prep, and light household support

  • Document care provided

  • Communicate changes or concerns promptly to the office
