We are currently seeking an engaged and passionate professional to serve as Lease-up Compliance Specialistย to a newly developed property.ย 
Under the direction of the Lease-up Manager, the Lease-up Compliance Specialistย is responsible for managing all resident file compliance activities during active lease-up for PBRA-assisted andย LIHTC & HOMEย regulated properties. This role ensures that applications,ย certificationsย and resident files are processed accurately,ย submittedย timelyย and fully audit-readyย in accordance withย HUD, PHFA, investor, and internal Trek compliance standards.ย ย The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven,ย and experienced withย LIHTCย lease-ups and third-party audits.ย ย As Trek continues to expand, we are seeking aย Lease-up Complianceย Specialist to support lease-up operations across a growing portfolio.ย 
Essential Functions:
  • Conductย LIHTC/PBRA eligibility interviewsย in accordance withย HUDย & PHFAย requirementsย 
  • Process applications throughย a third-party compliance departmentย from intake to approvalย 
  • Prepare andย submitย initial and final RPC submissions and address deficiencies as neededย 
  • Provide organized compliance files and documentation to investorsย 
  • Organize andย maintainย resident files using Trek checklists and internal standardsย 
  • Ensure all files are complete,ย accurateย and audit-readyย alwaysย 
  • Prepare resident files for full PHFA file audits, including internal pre-audit reviewsย 
  • Support audit responses and resolve compliance findingsย 
  • Collaborate with leasing and property management teams during active lease-upย 

Education & Experience:ย 
  • Minimum 2โ€“3 years of affordable housing compliance experience, preferably in active lease-upย 
  • Strong working knowledge ofย LIHTC, HOME,ย PBRA and HUD eligibility requirementsย 
  • Experience withย complianceย submissions and approvalsย 
  • Familiarity with PHFA audits and investor compliance requirementsย 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailย 
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentย 
ย 
  • Lease-up experience for newly constructed or rehabilitated propertiesย preferred
  • Experience working with investor reporting and file reviewsย preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skillsย 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionย 

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • The employee is regularly required to move around the building or site.
  • May require travel dependent on business needs.
  • Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across site.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
