Job description

Southern Shade Tree Co. has Landscape Production Manager positions available for dedicated, motivated, and efficient team members. You'll supervision, training and development of 15-20 members of staff. Ensure production standards are being met with quality control & training visits. Join Southern Shade Tree Co, a leading full-service landscaping and tree service provider with over 50 years of experience in exceeding client expectations in the Carolinas. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Landscape Production Manager to lead our Production/New Home Division. The successful candidate will embody our core values of integrity, motivation, professionalism, accountability, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience, preferably in production landscaping.
  • Ability to manager 3-4 crews 
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Being willing to be in a support role and being an effective communicator
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Valid Driver's License

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for daily monitoring of schedule and job tracking 
  • Visit job sites on a regular basis, observe the organization of work, identify and resolve training issues, and take necessary actions to ensure quality work. 
  • Manage labor team(s)
  • Monitor staff hours and maintain the company goal of less than 5% over time
  • Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades while working hand-in-hand with the VP of Operations
  • Ensure client's needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Track and manage contemplated change notices and change orders.
  • Assist in organizing and completing job task scheduling for team members. 
  • Communicate effectively with the landscape team to ensure tasks and instructions are understood.
  • Communicate with management and staff effectively. 
  • Manage time and resources well. 
  • Demonstrate good organizational and leadership ability.  
  • Effectively delegate tasks to team members. 
  • Assist in any regular meetings with the landscape team to determine any problem areas, and seek suggestions from the team.
