Created by Palm Tree Crew, the global lifestyle brand co-founded by Kygo and Myles Shear, Palm Tree Club is where great music meets great hospitality.
ABOUT CHIEF'S
Chief's on Broadway is a six-story bar and live music venue celebrating the ever-expanding musical legacy of Eric Church. Set in the heart of downtown Nashville, Chief's brings together music, design, and culinary offerings for an unmatched entertainment experience in Music City. The first floor houses a broadcast studio, home to Church's Outsiders Radio on SiriusXM, with the capability to host programming from a range of media partners. Food and drink are available throughout the venue, along with a new street-facing frozen Greek yogurt walk-up window from Nashville-based Culture Club. The third and fourth floors hold a ticketed live music venue that has hosted residencies from Eric Church, among others. ABOUT THE ROLE
The VIP Server Assistant is responsible for assisting the VIP Server/ Marketing Model while providing superior customer service, serving beverages, food and amenities in all areas of the venue. All duties and assignments are to be performed according to departmental and Palm Tree Crew brand standards.
Job Duties:
  • Assisting VIP Server / Marketing Model with serving beverages and food to guests
  • Transporting trays and serving food and beverages in all nightclub areas
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting the Company Service Standards
  • Responsible for the daily set up of the venue and service areas before the doors open
  • Responsible for the daily breakdown of the venue and service areas as the venue closes
  • Assist guests with requests, offering appropriate alternatives and seeking assistance when necessary
  • Consistently deliver exceptional service to every guest while interacting and entertaining in a professional manner
  • Manage multiple tables and tasks in an efficient and proactive manner
  • Recognize and acknowledge when guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated
  • Ability to initiate and maintain an upbeat and relaxed environment on a consistent basis
  • Ensure daily/nightly opening and closing duties are completed
  • Adhere to and enforce company specific safety and health department policies/procedures
  • Report any incidents or violations to management
  • Follow all designated emergency procedures
  • Attend required trainings
  • Assist other departments as necessary
  • Marketing and promoting events both on property and on Social Media platforms
  • Maintain social platforms as indicated by management and participate in marketing campaigns via social media

Tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Maximize sales by using extensive working knowledge of all food and beverage offerings to recommend and upsell items.
  • Ensure menu knowledge is always kept up to date in order to communicate effectively with guests on ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens
  • Follow all Steps of Service and brand standards
  • Create a hospitable, welcoming, and memorable experience for all guests
  • Ensure all Federal, State and City laws and ordinances are followed with regards to the handling and responsible sale of alcoholic beverages
  • Proper handling of cash, credit cards and end of shift financial reporting
  • Serve all alcohol in proper containers and adhere to all pricing
  • Serve all food in proper containers and adhere to all pricing
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace including side stations, floors, shelves, and all storage areas
  • Ensure that work areas are properly stocked for effective and timely service
  • Attend trainings as mandated by the Leadership team
  • Maintain a well-groomed, professional, and polished appearance
  • Keep working knowledge of Chief's brand, history, culture, and programming
  • Navigate venue conditions, including tight spaces, dark rooms, and loud environment
  • Ensure all spaces are set according to floor plans
  • Execute style of service called for by day/event (restaurant service, cocktail service, event service inclusive of passed hors d'oeuvres and/or banquet style, etc.)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Leadership team

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 1 year of service experience in a nightclub setting
  • Proven ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced restaurant or similar environment preferred
  • Exceptional guest service and hospitality skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work both as a team and independently
  • Must be able to work efficiently within a team environment
  • Ability to take direction, and communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to get Food Safety and TIPS certified
  • Must have a valid TABC card
  • Must be able to communicate in English with guests and other team members
  • Must have the ability to withstand high temperatures, heat and sun
  • Must adhere to both company and department specific policies and procedures
  • Embrace company culture and take pride in the venue and amenities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift loads of up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work rapidly, especially during peak periods to ensure that all guests are being serviced properly and necessary operational tasks are being completed in a timely manner
  • Ability to sustain loud noise volume
