Job description

Our Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA is seekingFacility Supervisors to join their team. This ideal candidate is responsible for overall supervision of the YMCA building and grounds during assigned shifts and to serve in other membership positions as assigned. Provides leadership and influence to others and fosters the Y's culture by modeling engagement principles, capturing living our cause moments, and exemplifying and promoting safe behaviors.

The South Meridian Branch of the Treasure Valley YMCA is unlike any other in the country. Our 60,000-square-foot facility is part of a unique collaboration that combines family recreation, education, sports, literacy, and wellness care on a single campus called "The Hill." Hand in hand with our partners-St. Luke's Health System, the West Ada School District, and the City of Meridian-the South Meridian Family Y will help us build A BETTER US.

Schedule:

This is part-time position averaging 4-5 hours per week. Schedule requirement includes Thursday and Friday evenings, 5:00pm-9:00pm, Saturday, 12pm-6:00pm and Sunday, 10:00am-6:00pm. Pay: $14.95-$18.69/hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Support others in handling and resolving concerns and report incidents that may occur.
  • Function as a point person for other staff, coaching frontline staff on their service and engagement behaviors and habits.
  • In the absence of other Department Coordinator or higher-level leadership staff, monitor programs and activities to ensure adherence to association leading practices.
  • Respond to member and staff concerns, questions, and emergencies in a positive and professional manner.
  • Performs and fulfills other membership positions (Welcome Center staff, Lead, Membership Specialist) job requirements, for which this position is assigned.
  • Build relationship when working with YMCA members, program participants, volunteers and staff.
  • Assist and educate members and guest in YMCA policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service, sales, or related experience.
  • Excellent human relation skills and an ability to maintain positive communication with staff and members.
  • Ability to address and make solid decisions in emergency situations.
  • Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including telephone etiquette and computer use.
