Certified Music Therapist – Part-Time with Guaranteed Hours In-Person | San Marino & South Pasadena | Starting at $35/hr for first 90 days

Encore Music, a thriving and community-rooted music school with two vibrant locations, is excited to welcome a second Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to our team! Our current therapist now has a full schedule five days a week, and demand continues to grow—we have a waitlist and are ready to expand!

This is a rare opportunity to join a flourishing program and help even more students benefit from the healing power of music. You’ll receive guaranteed pay for 6 hours per day, 2 days a week to start, with guaranteed pay for both instruction and administrative time—plus a clear path to full-time as your caseload grows.

There is also an opportunity for an additional two days of classroom teaching at a school for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) for a candidate interested in taking on 4 days to start.

Compensation Structure:

$35/hour for direct instruction (up to 5.5 hours per day), with pay increase discussion after 90 days.

Paid administrative duties! (up to 3 hours per day paid at the non-instructional rate)

Total: 8-hour paid day (guaranteed 2 days/week with 6+ hours paid each day to start)

Opportunity to increase hours and days as your schedule fills

Your Role: 🎵 Design and lead individualized, goal-oriented music therapy sessions 🤝 Collaborate with families and staff to assess and support student progress 🌟 Create a warm, welcoming space for students of all ages and abilities
