Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU Float Pool position requiring ACLS and NIHSS certifications, with night shift availability and multi-site floating across a large health system.

Details
  • ICU setting within a large, multi-site health system float pool — no permanent home base unit
  • Must be open to floating across ICU and lower-acuity units (excluding ED) at multiple campuses, including facilities in La Jolla, Encinitas, San Diego, and Chula Vista
  • Assignments are communicated approximately 2 hours prior to the shift start
  • Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Sunday through Saturday
  • 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week cycle
  • At least one holiday shift required, including the associated holiday weekend
Requirements
  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • ICU nursing experience required
  • Must be comfortable with multi-site floating across a large integrated health system
Additional Information
  • This is a system-wide float pool position — candidates must be flexible and adaptable to varying unit environments and patient populations across multiple campuses
  • Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • All time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
