Position Summary:

The Corporate Travel Manager is a strategic leader responsible for the management, execution, and oversight of the company's global travel program. This role leads the travel operations team, which provides booking and service support, while also driving key initiatives across policy development, vendor and contract management, cost optimization, compliance, and traveler safety.

The scope of this role includes all business-essential travel funded by the company, covering shoreside employees at all levels, including the Executive Committee, select shipboard employees, entertainers, vendors, and other approved travelers. The Corporate Travel Manager ensures that travel operations are aligned with organizational goals, delivering a safe, efficient, and cost-effective travel experience for all stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain corporate travel policies that reflect industry's best practices and support business objectives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support budget planning and travel coordination for major projects-including new builds and dry docks-while ensuring compliance with corporate travel policies.
  • Lead and manage travel programs with a strategic focus on Cost, Compliance, Service, and Controls.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships to ensure high-quality, cost-effective services are delivered by airline charter companies, commercial airlines, hotels, and ground transportation providers.
  • Oversee duty of care initiatives to safeguard traveler well-being and mitigate travel-related risks.
  • Stay informed on travel industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve program effectiveness and traveler satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to recommend and implement updates to travel policies and processes in response to evolving business needs and market conditions.
  • Design and manage travel processes that prioritize ease of travel and a positive traveler experience, while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Perform additional duties as assigned, including project management and cross-functional initiatives related to travel operations.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Hospitality, or a related field) and brings 5+ years of proven leadership experience, including executive-level communication across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrates expertise in travel technology platforms, strategic data analysis, vendor and contract management, and risk mitigation within a corporate travel environment.
  • Proven experience in process improvement and change management within a dynamic business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse workplace.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation abilities across all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS), with Sabre experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
