Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to plan and direct activities concerning quality improvement, quality systems development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for our Fuel Injector manufacturing processes, materials, and products. Complete root cause analysis of internal production rejects and customer trouble reports. The main purpose of this role is to ensure all Quality investigations are thorough and complete, using true root cause analysis, and assuring all major and minor change points are controlled and completed in customers' best interests.This will be a fully onsite role in order to oversee the Injector processes here at our Greenfield, IN manufacturing facility.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • 4-year College Degree in Mechanical or other Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in injection molding, machining, automated and/or short cycle time assembly processes.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities / % of Time Spent performing Duties

  • Support Production with Process Efficiency that includes COPQ.: 20%
  • Support Customer Requests and Concerns: 20%
  • New Product and Line Startup Documentation Creation: 10%
  • Trouble Shooting and C/M Implementation: 15%
  • Audit Processes and Documentation: 15%
  • Prepare Presentation to all Levels of Management: 5%
  • Prepare Data Documentation of IPPAARs and M/P Change Points: 5%
  • Travel to Customers, Vendors and Mother Companies: 5%
  • Confirm Product Characteristics and Measurement Techniques Data: 5%
  • Other Duties as Assigned: As needed
  • Support Production in Emergency Situations (equipment downtime): As needed
  • Brainstorm for alternative Quality Verifications: As needed: As needed

Software:

  • Basic experience required in Microsoft Windows
  • Intermediate experience required in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic experience in Minitab preferred.
  • Advanced experience with Excel preferred.
