HCA Orange Park Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator. This role leads the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) process by monitoring trauma patient outcomes, conducting clinical case reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring compliance with ACS Trauma Verification standards and state trauma requirements.
The Trauma PI Coordinator works collaboratively with trauma surgeons, emergency department leadership, critical care teams, quality management, and multidisciplinary departments to improve patient outcomes and maintain excellence within the trauma program.
Job Summary and QualificationsAs an RN Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator, you will lead the Trauma Program’s work to keep care safe and high quality from the time a patient arrives until they leave the hospital. • Educating and supporting clinical teams, residents, EMS agencies, and outlying facilities by sharing trauma PI principles, guidelines, and best practices
• Collaborating and contributing to guideline development, research initiatives, verification preparation, and ongoing improvements across the trauma service line
What qualifications you will need:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Current Florida RN license or compact RN license
- BSN preferred
- Minimum 3 years of recent clinical nursing experience in: Trauma, Emergency Department, ICU/Critical Care or Trauma Program Administration
- Experience with trauma performance improvement, quality management, or trauma program operations
