Position Summary
We seek a Procurement Manager to apply category and industry expertise to lead strategic international sourcing initiatives for Catalyst Brands Logistics and Transportation.
This role is responsible for driving sustainable cost reductions, improving productivity, and enhancing supplier service levels while managing risk across a global supply base. The Procurement Manager partners closely with cross-functional leaders and reports to the Procurement Director.
Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end contracting, negotiations, and supplier relationships across international logistics modes, including ocean freight, container drayage, customs compliance, origin management, and consolidation
  • Lead sourcing events and complex procurement initiatives that deliver cost savings, mitigate risk, improve productivity, and enhance service levels
  • Support execution of category strategies and sourcing roadmaps aligned with business priorities
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop sourcing strategies, assess market conditions, and monitor supplier performance
  • Identify and manage financial, operational, and reputational risks within the supply base; develop contingency plans and ensure compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain knowledge of regulations, policies, and ethical standards to ensure responsible sourcing practices
  • Partner with the Procurement Director to develop and execute semi-annual category business plans aligned with company objectives
  • Engage cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, influence outcomes, and ensure successful implementation of sourcing initiatives
  • Track milestones, manage competing priorities, and ensure timely delivery of sourcing projects
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to sourcing team members
  • Collaborate with FP&A and Treasury to manage expenses and track financial performance

Qualifications
Experience:
5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain, with a strong emphasis on international logistics. Proven success managing complex sourcing initiatives and supplier relationships across global networks
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline preferred
Technical & Category Expertise:
Demonstrated understanding of global trade flows, Incoterms, capacity dynamics, and logistics cost drivers
Experience in global transportation and logistics procurement, including:
  • Origin management and vendor coordination
  • Ocean freight (FCL/LCL) sourcing and carrier management
  • Port operations and container drayage
  • Customs brokerage and clearance processes
  • Domestic warehousing, cross-dock, and distribution services

Data & Analytics:
Proficiency in data-driven decision-making; experience with procurement or transportation systems
Familiarity with AI-enabled tools (predictive analytics, automation, generative AI) preferred
Project & Program Management:
Ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced, global environment
Leadership & Agility:
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading through change; able to make informed decisions with incomplete information
Collaboration & Influence:
Strong cross-functional partnership skills; ability to align stakeholders, influence decisions, and deliver end-to-end supply chain solutions
Organization & Execution:
Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Communication:
Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
