Job Summary

As a Manager, implement and manage Cemex's Third Party Truck Management Strategy and center - led management.  Utilize a market focused approach that allows Cemex to build long-term Carrier relationships, collaboration, and performance management programs that support the Supply Chain  strategic priorities for health & safety, service and quality, cost and cash management, sustainability, compliance, and people and talent development. Oversee all trucking related initiatives and programs related to Sustainability, compliance and Risk Management. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage Carrier RFQ's, selection and vetting process.
  • Manage Carrier Strategic Route Guide and Zero- Cost based reporting.
  • Develop and monitor Carrier Scorecards (service, cost, safety)
  • Gather market intelligence to drive strategic decisions for RFQ's and Best practices.
  • Responsible for developing and monitoring Co2 emissions for 3rd party Carriers.
  • Lead Best Practices utilization of the Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Implement Freight Payment Audit Solutions to reduce risk
Qualifications
  • 10 or more years of experience in Transportation and or Supply Chain related roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Management, Procurement or Engineering
  • Bulk truck Transportation market and processes knowledge
  • End to End supply chain processes proficiency
  • Ability to understand transportation requirements and translate them into solutions.
  • Ability to apply End to End Supply Chain concepts.
  • Ability to manage data and develop concepts and information. (strong analytical skills)
  • Knowledge in SAP, TMS and Analytical tools (i.e. PowerBI, Tableau, Qlick sense)
  • APIC's certification or SCOR knowledge (a plus)
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) (a plus)

  • Transportation and Carrier management
  • End to End transportation processes
  • Ability to manage data and develop concepts and information. (strong analytical skills)
  • SAP,  Transportation Management Systems, analytical tools

  • Capable of working in an office environment
  • Capable of working extended hours as needed.
