Summary

This position is responsible for planning and releasing work using the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System. Team members will receive annual and probationary period forklift training and certification. Additionally, this role serves as a backup for the Checker position.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must have at least 12 months of warehousing experience within the last 18 months.
  • 6 months of Forklift experience within the last 12 months.
  • Cold storage experience preferred.
  • Need full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.
  • May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.
  • May be provided PPE for additional hearing protection as needed.
  • Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Prior experience with JDA/Blue Yonder or other warehouse management systems is a plus.
  • Successful applicants must be able to read and write as well as process paperwork to management.
  • Successful applicants must be able to do all duties described with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • During your work shift, which will consist of (12) hours, you must be willing to move around the work area at a fast pace and willing to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, up to (40) pounds.
  • Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.
  • Manage and prioritize the work queue using Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System.
  • Prepare paperwork and plan outbound loads.
  • Assign trailers to doors.
  • Communicate moves, needs, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with transportation, food safety quality assurance, and customer service departments via email regarding trailer needs, issues, and pickups.
  • Send daily lot checks of Tyson trailers to the transportation department.
  • Process bills for outbound loads to assigned doors.
  • Investigate and assess load shortages.
  • Accurately enter late and shortage reason codes promptly.
  • Serve as the primary backup for the Checker position.
  • Train backup personnel as needed.
  • Will be trained as a backup on forklift roles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Environment

  • Most of the time, this role will be in a climate-controlled office environment within the warehouse.
  • Most of the work will be seated using a computer up to 100% of the time.
  • At times, this role may be required to drive PIT including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks. (Up to 12 hours)
  • At times, this role may be exposed to damp and cold environments with temperatures ranging from -5 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. (Up to 12 hours)
  • You will be provided with a freezer suit, hearing protection, gloves, and headwear as part of your personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Team members will furnish their own boots and must wear either steel or composite toe boots that conform to ANSI 75lbs or more PSI rating with a slip resistant sole that covers the ankles. (Composite toe preferred)
