Job description

Cavalier Logistics is seeking a detail-orientated and organized Fleet Coordinator to oversee daily fleet operations, equipment maintenance, and driver compliance with DOT regulations. The Fleet Coordinator will help ensure fleet efficiency, safety, and cost-effective operation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Monitor fleet utilization and performance
  • Schedule preventative maintenance, repairs and inspection
  • Maintain accurate records for registrations, insurance, permits and service history
  • Track fuel, mileage, GPS and telematics data
  • Preparing reports for IFTA submission
  • Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety regulations
  • Communicate with vendors and mechanics
  • Prepare reports for fleet performance

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Experience in fleet coordination logistics, transportation or dispatch operation
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with fleet management systems such as Samara, JJ Keller
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet safety standards

Education:
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
