Transportation Compliance Manager

Lignetics manufactures a variety of consumer brands in several different categories including wood pellets for home heating, BBQ pellets for grilling, wood pellets and shavings for animal bedding, and a wood fiber-based cat litter. Each of our products have unique features and benefits but are all linked with a wonderful recycled, renewable, sustainable, and carbon neutral story. We turn recycled sawdust into value-add, branded consumer products. 


Summary

The Lignetics Compliance Manager is responsible for compliance for the entire fleet. This includes compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, insurance and all internal metrics & KPI's. Lignetics Compliance Manager reports directly to the Logistics Director.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promote all Safety Programs including maintaining Risk Card Program
  • Ensure Fleet maintains DOT Compliance
  • Report accounting numbers from PCS to Corporate
  • Work closely with Transportation Managers to promote efficiency and safety
  • Fill in for all administrative positions in Transportation as needed
  • Calculate employee's bonus programs
  • Manage and report on all Transportation Metrics and KPI's
  • Train new employees and build orientation program
  • Calculate and invoice for contracted trucks in Wisconsin
  • Process credit card expenses for MTI employees
  • Available to all Transportation employee's for daily problems
  • Lead Transportation to standardized trucking software program
  • Be a knowledge base and train drivers on Samsara dash camera system
  • Complete duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the Transportation Industry
  • Attention to detail and proactive communication style
  • Excellent Excel proficiency
  • Experience working with ERP systems and trucking software
  • Effective analytical skills required
  • Accounting knowledge and strong written and verbal communications required
  • Some travel required
