Job description

Parsec, a division of Universal Logistics Holdings, is a leader in intermodal and rail-based logistics, providing terminal operations and transportation services across North America. With a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service, Parsec supports major automotive, manufacturing, and consumer goods clients.


Role Overview:

This role is based in Indianapolis, IN and supports day-to-day terminal operations in a rail and yard environment. The facility plays a key role in supporting customer supply chains through efficient movement of freight, equipment, and inventory.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily terminal operations, including yard management, rail operations, and equipment flow
  • Ensure safe and efficient execution of loading, unloading, and movement of freight
  • Lead and develop terminal staff, including scheduling, performance management, and policy enforcement
  • Drive safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, service levels, and cost
  • Manage terminal budgets, including labor, equipment, and operational expenses
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer communication and issue resolution
