HDR Engineering is looking for a Transmission Line EIT/Coordinator to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals in our Denver, CO office.
The primary duties of the EIT/Coordinator include the execution of the technical aspects & deliverables for their assigned projects. The EIT/Coordinator will be expected to learn and grow into the role where they will be able to complete the technical requirements of transmission line projects of basic to moderate complexity. The EIT/Coordinator will be assigned tasks and mentored by senior staff team members.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
  • Performing PLS-CADD modeling and/or calculations
  • Perform routine engineering and design tasks
  • Participate in field reviews or construction observation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired
  • Some field work and travel may be required
  • Preference will be given to local candidates
  • Experience using PLS-CADD, structure analysis, project cost estimates, plan and profile preparation, optimization, specifications and drawings, and other engineering documents required for power transmission line projects
  • National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) knowledge
