Job Summary:
Accent on Languages, a leading provider of interpretation and translation services, is seeking a meticulous and proactive Vendor Manager to join our team. The Vendor Manager will be responsible for contacting, vetting, screening, and recruiting new linguists, proceeding with clearance protocols for specific projects, managing compliance documents, and ensuring all vendor documentation is up to date.
Responsibilities:
  • Contact potential linguists to expand our network of qualified professionals and maintain a diverse pool of talent.
  • Conduct thorough vetting and screening processes to ensure linguists meet our company's high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Manage and execute clearance protocols for specific projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Organize timelines and statuses of procedures using Microsoft Excel to visualize data.
  • Oversee the collection, review, and maintenance of compliance documents for all vendors to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all vendor documentation is current and accurately maintained in our database for easy access and reference.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with linguists and vendors to foster a collaborative and high-quality service environment.
  • Generate invoices and organize linguist payments through data-driven methods and automation.
  • Conduct reports on vendor performance and compliance maintenance.
  • Investigate reports on vendor performance and take corrective measures to improve future practices.
  • Manage over-the-phone interpretation procedures and linguists, generating invoices and reports on usage and performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in vendor management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in vendor management, preferably within the interpretation and translation industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Self-driven and disciplined
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and utilization of pivot tables, v-lookup, and other functions
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with interpretation and translation services.
  • Experience in recruiting, human resources, and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with government clearance processes.
