Mindlink is seeking a dedicated and culturally responsive Somali Translator to support written translation projects across a variety of subject areas. We work with Educational/Local Gov/Other Non-Profit Clients based in Washington/Oregon. US-based candidates are a client requirement; translators based in Washington and Oregon states are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and culturally appropriate translations while meeting client deadlines.
  • Follow client-specific style guides, glossaries, and terminology.
  • Communicate clearly with the Mindlink team regarding availability, questions, or clarifications.
  • Revise translations based on feedback when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
Qualifications
  • Native-level fluency in Somali.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional translation experience.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new softwares; experience with CAT tools strongly preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions, style guides, and quality standards.
