Granger Christian School is seeking a passionate and Christ-centered educator to serve as our 6th Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Sixth grade is a key transitional year as students grow academically, socially, and spiritually, and we are looking for a teacher who is excited to guide and mentor students during this important stage of development.


The ideal candidate will demonstrate a love for Christian education, strong classroom leadership, and a commitment to academic excellence grounded in a biblical worldview.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Model Christ-like character in words, actions, and relationships
  • Integrate biblical truth and a Christian worldview throughout daily instruction
  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
  • Utilize instructional practices aligned with Indiana Academic Standards
  • Establish a safe, structured, and positive classroom culture
  • Maintain accurate grades, records, and consistent communication with parents
  • Participate in faculty meetings, chapel services, school events, and professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate positively with administration, faculty, and families

Qualifications

  • Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and educational philosophy
  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field preferred
  • Indiana teaching license preferred
  • ACSI certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
  • Previous upper elementary or middle school teaching experience preferred
