Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead the execution of the Aerospace Readiness Enterprise System (ARES) Production program. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for managing the successful delivery of a large-scale Department of Defense (DoD) program while serving as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders.
The Senior Program Manager will oversee program execution across multiple contract periods, ensuring the delivery of production-ready capabilities that meet contractual, technical, schedule, and financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex federal programs, leading cross-functional Agile teams, and maintaining strong relationships with government customers and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the execution and delivery of large-scale, mission-critical federal programs.
  • Serve as the primary interface with the Government Agreements Officer (AO) and Agreements Officer Representative (AOR).
  • Provide overall program leadership, ensuring successful execution of cost, schedule, scope, quality, and performance objectives.
  • Facilitate Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, sprint reviews, program reviews, and retrospectives across multiple Agile teams.
  • Manage the integrated program schedule, sprint velocity, and delivery forecasts to meet government milestones.
  • Maintain and manage the program risk register, proactively identifying and mitigating program risks and issues.
  • Escalate cross-functional risks and dependencies to government stakeholders when appropriate.
  • Ensure all contractual deliverables are completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Coordinate government-directed User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across multiple development sprints.
  • Manage staffing, onboarding, resource planning, and personnel continuity throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with government customers, executive leadership, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Monitor program financial performance, budgets, staffing, and contractual compliance.
  • Develop and execute corrective action plans for schedule, cost, or performance variances.
  • Mentor Program Managers, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators while promoting best practices in program delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal acquisition regulations, contract requirements, and organizational quality standards.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience managing large federal government programs or contracts.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex programs valued at $10M or greater.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams supporting software development, IT modernization, or defense programs.
  • Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and federal program governance.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
  • Experience managing program budgets, schedules, risks, and contract performance.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs.
  • Familiarity with DoDI 5000.87 or other DoD acquisition frameworks.
  • Experience managing Agile software development programs.
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification or equivalent Agile experience.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
