Power Up Your Career with Worldwide Power Products

The Director of Business Transformation is responsible for leading enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, drive growth, streamline business processes, and maximize the value of Worldwide Power Products' technology investments. This role serves as the internal owner of the company's ERP implementation and broader transformation strategy, ensuring business systems, workflows, and teams operate cohesively across all departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

ERP Migration Leadership

  • Serve as WPP's primary internal owner of the migration from QuickBooks Desktop to a modern ERP platform, managing scope, timeline, and accountability across all workstreams
  • Act as the main point of contact with external consultants and software vendors, ensuring they deliver on commitments and stay aligned with our operational reality
  • Partner closely with our Controller and Accounting Manager throughout the conversion, ensuring the new system reflects the business requirements
  • Own change management from end to end: data cleanup, process documentation, user training, and post-go-live adoption

Systems Integration & Stack Rationalization

  • Lead a full review of our technology stack and digital transformation initiatives to identify where we have redundancy, disconnection, or unnecessary complexity
  • Eliminate duplicate data entry and fragmented record sources by building integrations across Salesforce, Point of Rental, Stampli, Paylocity, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and the incoming ERP
  • Establish a software governance process so new tools are evaluated and adopted with discipline rather than reactively
  • Collaborate with the Professional Development Center (PDC) to implement targeted learning opportunities, including technical upskilling, certifications, and leadership development.

Process Design & Workflow Improvement

  • Work directly with managers and frontline teams in every division to map current workflows, surface inefficiencies, and co-design better processes to drive growth and operational effectiveness.
  • Prioritize initiatives by impact: focus first on the changes that eliminate the most friction for the most people
  • Build documentation and repeatable systems so that improvements hold and do not depend on any one person to maintain them
  • Drive AI adoption across the organization, building on our existing internal tools and expanding practical applications division by division

Transformation Program Ownership & Leadership Visibility

  • Own the enterprise-wide digital transformation roadmap across Marketing, Service, Distribution, Rental, Accounting, and Shared Services aligned with business goals and long-term growth.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between WPP and the IT Managed Service Provider.
  • Coordinate internal project leads and keep workstreams aligned, surfacing risks and conflicts before they become problems
  • Maintain regular reporting on progress, priorities, and decisions that need executive input
  • Build credibility and authority through results, not just title: this role earns its seat at the table by delivering.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

  • Successful ERP implementation delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Reduction in duplicate data entry and manual business processes.
  • Increased integration across core business systems.
  • User adoption and successful change management following new system implementations.
  • Completion of documented standard operating procedures for key business functions.
  • Improvement in reporting accuracy and availability of business intelligence.
  • Successful execution of enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
  • Increased adoption and measurable impact of AI-driven business solutions.
  • Executive stakeholder satisfaction with transformation progress and outcomes.
Requirements:

EXPERIENCE

  • Hands-on experience leading or co-leading an ERP migration or equivalent business system transformation inside a company, not just as a consultant.
  • Exposure to and general understanding of business operations in a service, rental, or field-based environment, including how work flows from quote to invoice.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting concepts and how operational data connects to business performance.
  • Proven ability to build trust with employees at multiple levels and lead organizational change.
  • Experience managing external vendors and consultants while holding them accountable for outcomes.
  • Practical knowledge of AI tools and the ability to identify and deploy business applications.
  • A builder mentality, creating lasting processes, documentation, and systems.
  • Comfortable working with executive leadership as well as frontline employees.

STRONG ADVANTAGE

  • Salesforce experience in a service or sales operations environment.
  • Familiarity with Point of Rental or comparable rental management platforms.
  • Exposure to ERP platforms.
  • Background in the energy, power generation, equipment rental, or industrial services industry.
  • Experience working in a privately held, founder-led company where trust had to be earned before authority.
