We are searching for a talented Team Lead-Radiology Transcription Svc
Hours: 40hrs
Shift: Day shift; 8:00am - 4:30pm
Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA;' Position will follow a hybrid schedule

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities
Under direction of the PACS Administrator, Radiology Imaging Services or designee, perform a variety of duties both within and in support of Radiology Transcription Services. Provide immediate direction and supervision of assigned personnel including establishing work schedules and daily assignments, monitoring productivity and performance, provide staff development and continuing education. Identify and work to resolve various inter- and intra-departmental issues within the scope of own position responsibilities. Carry out the duties of the Radiology Transcription Editor role. Recommend strategies to optimize performance.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Medical Secretarial Science, Health Information, or Medical Assistant Program or equivalent knowledge and experience required.
  • Certificate from an approved program with advanced courses in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology is preferred.
  • Very good typing and/or word processing skills required.
  • Experience with Meditech Radiology and SpeechQ Voice Recognition System preferred.
  • Must have basic knowledge of ICD9 and CPT Coding.
  • Basic knowledge of Internet, Intranet, Word and Excel required.
  • Supervisory and radiology experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience is required.
  • Prior experience with Epic EMR and Nuance PowerScribe are prefered.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
  • Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range
USD $22.06 - USD $37.09 /Hr.
