JOB TITLE: Trust Clerk

DEPARTMENT: Trust Services

REPORTS TO: Team Leads, and Senior Management

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Regular Full -Time, Non-Exempt

A Trust Service Clerk provides clerical, administrative, and operational support for a bank, law firm, or financial institution's trust department. Process daily transactions, maintain fiduciary account records, handle client inquiries, and ensure compliance with trust regulations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Transaction Processing: Execute and track daily transactions, including deposits, distributions, wire transfers, and bill payments.

  • Account Administration: Open and maintain trust files, ensuring account documents and customer details are updated accurately in the system.

  • Client Service: Act as a liaison between trust, internal partners and clients, handling phone and in-person inquiries.

  • Compliance & Auditing: Assist in verifying that trust activities meet internal controls and legal/tax regulatory requirements.

  • Reporting: Prepare operational reports, balance daily accounts, and generate statements for management and clients.

Typical Qualifications

  • Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
