Staff Development Coordinator (SDC)

Job Summary:

Premier Rehab & Healthcare at Burlington is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a SDC, you will play a vital role in developing, evaluating, and controlling the quality of in-service educational programs, providing education and training to our staff, and ensuring that our facility maintains the highest standards of care and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, evaluate, and control the quality of in-service educational programs in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Provide education, in-service training, educational guidance, and support to the facility.
• Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the in-service educational programs of this facility.
• Secure, develop and maintains records, reports, instructional manuals, reference materials, etc., pertinent to in-service educational programs.
• Develop and participate in planning and conducting orientation programs that orients newly hired employees to their position, policies and procedures, resident rights, and responsibilities, etc.
• Develop, implement, and review the ongoing educational programs for nursing staff.
• Coordinate and implement ongoing in-service training for all staff including but not limited to infection control, fall prevention and resident rights.
• Assist in the evaluation process of nursing staff during the orientation period and on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain a program of continuing education to keep abreast of new trends in nursing care and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Licensed RN in VT
• Excellent teaching, organizational and communication skills
