Job Title: Workforce Development Coordinator

Location: Manchester, NH (serving Southern New Hampshire – 4 counties)
Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Salary: $42,000 – $45,000 per year

Associates for Training and Development (A4TD) is a nationally recognized workforce development nonprofit founded in 1983. We administer job training programs for mature workers across Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.

Job Summary

A4TD is seeking a motivated and compassionate Career Navigator to join our mission-driven team. In this role, you will support participants in the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), helping low-income, unemployed seniors gain skills through paid internships and transition into permanent employment.

This position is based in Manchester, NH and includes oversight of four counties, with moderate in-state travel required (reimbursed).

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and enroll program participants
  • Assign participants to host agency internship sites
  • Build partnerships with local employers, training providers, and service organizations
  • Meet with host agency supervisors and support program operations
  • Work directly with participants to:
    • Identify training needs
    • Address barriers to employment
    • Provide coaching and job search support
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal program requirements
  • Assist with special projects and program development initiatives

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate’s degree
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience (client-facing or business engagement preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage detailed recordkeeping and documentation
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred:

  • Experience in nonprofit or workforce development programs
  • Knowledge of local labor market trends and workforce systems
  • Experience working with mature workers or diverse populations
  • Bilingual in Spanish
