Job Summary

 

Southern Company Services is seeking a Training Coordinator I to support training operations, learning management system administration, training records, reporting, and coordination activities.

This role helps ensure training programs are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. The Training Coordinator will maintain learning data, support course and class setup, monitor compliance-related training records, resolve routine system or process issues, and coordinate with internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is self-directed, solution-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities with limited supervision.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Support day-to-day training operations and administrative activities.

·       Administer learning management system functions, including course, curriculum, class, and user-record maintenance.

·       Create and update courses, classes, rosters, assignments, and completion records.

·       Maintain accurate employee and contractor training records.

·       Monitor compliance-related training requirements and identify missing, overdue, or inaccurate records.

·       Generate training reports, dashboards, completion summaries, and data analyses.

·       Review learning data for accuracy and resolve routine system or process discrepancies.

·       Coordinate training schedules, logistics, communications, materials, and attendance.

·       Work closely with training delivery teams, instructional designers, operations partners, and other stakeholders.

·       Respond to employee and contractor questions regarding course assignments, completions, and training records.

·       Identify opportunities to improve training administration processes and data quality.

·       Document procedures, recurring issues, resolutions, and process improvements.

·       Manage assigned work independently and escalate complex issues when necessary.

 

Required Qualifications

·       Experience supporting training coordination, learning administration, human resources, compliance, or a related function.

·       Working knowledge of learning management system processes and functions.

·       Strong data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

·       Ability to review large amounts of information and identify discrepancies.

·       Strong organizational and time-management skills.

·       Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related business applications.

·       Ability to work independently and move assignments forward with limited direction.

·       Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience administering an enterprise learning management system.

·       Experience supporting training programs in the utility, energy, engineering, construction, or regulated industry.

·       Experience with compliance training records and reporting.

·       Experience creating reports, analyzing learning data, and improving administrative processes.

·       Familiarity with virtual and instructor-led training coordination.
