Assistant General Manager – Firehouse Subs

Location: Bastrop, TX.
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Overview

Firehouse Subs is seeking a driven and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support restaurant operations, develop team members, and help drive sales and profitability.
As the AGM, you’ll partner closely with the General Manager to lead the restaurant, ensure operational excellence, and build a strong, high-performing team. This is a key leadership role and a stepping stone to becoming a General Manager.
Responsibilities

  •  Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations 
  •  Lead shifts and ensure high standards in food quality, service, and cleanliness 
  •  Train, coach, and develop Crew Members and Shift Leaders 
  •  Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management 
  •  Help manage P&L, including labor, food cost, and inventory control 
  •  Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards 
  •  Handle guest concerns and ensure an exceptional customer experience 
  •  Assist with scheduling, ordering, and administrative tasks 
  •  Step in to run the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager 
Qualifications

  •  2+ years of restaurant management experience (QSR or fast-casual preferred) 
  •  Strong leadership and team development skills 
  •  Experience with scheduling, inventory, and cost control 
  •  Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  •  Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
