Job Description:

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time Training Specialist position in the Office of Georgia Quick Start. This position is located at the TCSG Georgia Quick Start Office in Cartersville, Georgia.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position provides training services for Quick Start projects. The incumbent will learn and support all areas of departmental operations under broad supervision of the Director. Duties will include assistance with training operations, performing training needs assessments, training material development and instruction, training device design and build. The Training Specialist will work with the Director and other staff members to evaluate and standardize business processes and tools in order to ensure quality of instructional service delivery. Other duties include assisting the Director with special projects, preparing operations reports, and conducting training research. Extensive travel within northern Georgia and occasional travel outside of Georgia and the US may be necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree *and* one (1) year of experience planning, developing, delivering or evaluating training programs or academic instruction OR four (4) years of experience delivering training that included developing instructional materials and lesson plans.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in management, instructional technology, industrial technologies or a related field *and* 3 years' experience in a manufacturing training environment. Experience with instructional design methodology for manufacturing and large-scale distribution process training, conducting training analysis and task analysis, data entry to include updating schedules within and interactive management system, configuring training material packages and presenting technical training classes, designing and building high-functioning training simulators and devices, operation of multi-site training centers, and working with training information management systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree in a related field and Three (3) years of related work experience Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis.
