Inpatient Health and/or Rehabilitation Psychologist (PhD, PsyD)
Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an outstanding psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join our team. The psychologist will primarily provide inpatient consultation and brief psychotherapy services to adults in our interdisciplinary physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital. Although this is an inpatient-focused position, there are opportunities to become involved in outpatient programs, based on interest/availability.
Most common conditions include brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation, cancer, cardiac diseases, and neurological disorders. The focus of our services is adjustment to and coping with acute and chronic medical conditions that are impacting functioning and quality of life. We emphasize evidence-based, interdisciplinary approaches to rehabilitation.
We are looking for candidates with excellent interpersonal skills, a desire to work within an interdisciplinary team, and experience in a health care setting. Candidates with a background in rehabilitation or health psychology especially well-suited to this position. The psychologist will be engaged in direct service delivery and may also provide supervision of Master's-level providers and/or postdoctoral trainees.
This position requires a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program and license (or license eligible) in the State of Michigan.
The psychologist will join a vibrant and expanding psychology service with excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction.
