Our Liability Claims Trainee role is an entry-level position designed to prepare individuals for a career as a claims professional through a structured, hands-on training program.
Trainees participate in a multi-month development program combining classroom instruction, system training, supervised claim handling, coaching, and job shadowing. Successful completion of the program prepares the trainee to manage liability claims independently.
This role provides a clear pathway into an Associate Claims Specialist position upon successful program completion.
What You'll Learn & Do
  • Investigate and document liability, bodily injury, and property damage claims
  • Complete coverage reviews and understand liability exposure
  • Communicate professionally with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and agents
  • Document claim activity accurately and in compliance with company standards
  • Participate in claim evaluations, reserving, and settlement discussions
  • Progress from training scenarios to live claim handling with support

Training Program Overview
  • Months 1-3: Claims fundamentals, systems training, written exams
  • Months 4-6: Supervised live claim handling with audits and coaching
  • Month 7: Job shadowing, final assessment, and graduation to independent handling

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
