Scope:

  • Provides leadership and helps develop & implement training & development programs for the TTM Stafford Springs sites. Provides overall program training for IPC and J-STD needs of the company. Analyzes training trends and results, develops strategies and methodologies to improve training effectiveness. Schedules & monitors training certifications & re-certifications. Ensures consistency & fairness, process compliance & training excellence. Works with site leadership to determine training needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, developing/facilitating, and implementing training programs for employees.

  • Responsible for IPC and J-STD training.

  • Keeps track of training certifications, re-certifications & de-certifications for employees.

  • Works with Operations to schedule certification tests and grade the written portion of the certification tests.

  • Maintains records of operator certification status and interfaces with respective departments to keep area training matrices current.

  • Works with department Supervisors & Managers to determine training needs and implements programs to support the identified needs.

  • Evaluates existing training programs and helps update training materials to reflect current business needs.

  • Develops/maintains monthly, quarterly and annual training plans and prepares reports on training plan status/results.

  • Communicates training issues, concerns and trainee progress to respective Manager and site leadership.

  • Interacts with functional organizations to develop training guidelines with their assistance.

  • Makes recommendations for re-training of employees and for improving training/training materials.

  • Assists in communication of changes, updates and new procedures to employees.

  • Interacts with outside vendors to facilitate training programs as needed.

  • Coordinates employee participation in outside vendor training as needed.

  • Oversees tracking, administration, audits, usage and application renewals for CT training funds/grants

  • Works with Corporate Training Manager to ensure proper implementation of training materials/content and to monitor spend against the site training budget.

  • Develops communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training updates & programs.

  • Works flexible shifts as needed or requested.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Ability to follow directions and procedures accurately; to organize facts and figures; apply basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and averages

  • Attend or conduct meetings to negotiate, explain, persuade, or present information

  • Excellent written and oral communication; good presentation skills; strong interpersonal skills - good listener, seeks input from others, provide positive mentoring; organizational management - coordinate multiple training sessions/topics; effective time management; attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects;

  • Ability to work independently and be a team player; work with cross-functional teams; build strong relationships- internally and externally;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

  • Ability to make effective, timely unbiased decisions;

  • Able and willing to work flexible hours across all shifts as needed; work with minimal supervision.

  • Spend majority of the workday sitting at a computer workstation

Education and Experience:

Education:

  • Associate's Degree in business related field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2 - 5 yrs experience in training related function, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
