Job Description

Job Summary: 

Summary: The summer internship position is an opportunity for an Engineering student to gain real world and hands on experience in a manufacturing environment, while concurrently providing benefit to STS Aerospace.  The purpose of the summer internship is to study Braid Wire and Advance Braid Design Theory with the goal of revising current engineering calculations to better predict hose performance.

Duration: June - August 2026

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Graduate student, Junior, or Sophomore in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science.
  • Strong academic / analytical modeling.
  • Able to develop a mathematical theory and follow-up with actual test results.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets background.
  • Strong Material Science knowledge.
