The Management Trainee will participate in a structured development program focused on gaining hands-on experience in project management. This role offers recent college graduates the opportunity to learn key aspects of estimating, planning, execution, procurement, and safety, while supporting project teams and business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Training & Development:
  • Participate in a structured, hands-on training program designed to build foundational knowledge in construction project management
  • Learn and apply practical experience in leadership, business operations, and technical systems to prepare for advancement to a future management position
  • Work closely with mentors and managers across departments to gain exposure to company processes, culture, and best practices

Project Management Support:
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing projects from pre-construction through close-out
  • Learn to manage project timelines, material procurement, subcontractor coordination, and internal resources to meet customer expectations
  • Support jobsite safety efforts by recognizing hazards and participating in daily safety practices

Estimating & Sales Exposure:
  • Observe and assist in the estimating and bidding process
  • Learn and apply various sales methods to procure business development and customer engagement
  • Contribute to strategic planning for project acquisition, customer outreach, and proposal development

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Gain experience in project billing, cost tracking, and procurement processes
  • Learn to manage financial aspects of a project including budgets, forecasting, and reporting
  • Develop organizational and time management skills critical to project success and team collaboration

Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination:
  • Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
  • Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
  • Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
  • Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
  • Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Finance, or Engineering
  • Previous experience in construction (or a related field) preferred

  • Positive safety attitude and personal integrity - both are non-negotiable
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and personal integrity
  • Strong emphasis on workmanship, customer service, and satisfaction
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment screening

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)

Physical Requirements
  • Office environment requiring sitting and standing. Travel to various sites is essential, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise and the need to stand and walk.
