To thrive as a Trainee Developer, you need a foundation in programming concepts, problem-solving skills, and a relevant degree or coursework in computer science or related fields. Familiarity with coding languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript, as well as version control systems such as Git, is typically expected. Most teams provide mentorship and structured onboarding to help trainees overcome these hurdles and encourage asking questions to facilitate learning and growth.

What are trainee developers?

They work under the supervision of experienced developers to gain practical skills in programming, software design, and problem-solving. Their responsibilities typically include writing simple code, fixing bugs, assisting with testing, and learning best practices in development processes. The goal is to help them build a strong foundation so they can eventually progress to more advanced roles, such as junior or mid-level developer.
