This position is required to translate customer and internal qualification requirements into mechanical, electrical and RF test documentation to perform and report on product qualification status. The role will be responsible for test design, preparation, execution, data review and reporting. You will also analyze collected data and provide recommendations, helping your team seek out and eliminate flaws in design and manufacturing. You will also have a key role in reviewing the flow and planned artifacts of qualification test procedures to ensure that tests are performed in logical sequence and address the correct performance and process metrics.

Key Responsibilities

    • Understand product requirements and functionality
    • Write test procedures to detail steps needed to complete testing
    • Track requirement compliance through designated verification methods
    • Utilize Engineering Change Control process to keep documentation updated and useful
  • Design test fixtures and procure test equipment needed to meet test requirements
  • Implement process improvements to test flows or test methodologies
  • Analyze test results and compile into deliverable Test Reports
  • Document and troubleshoot testing anomalies and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Schedule test resources for in-house testing based on engineering and production schedules
  • Coordinate with off-site test houses to schedule and perform testing
  • Coordinate test readiness reviews to validate procedures, fixtures, and configuration control prior to test execution
  • Ensure data integrity through disciplined configuration management, test article tracking, and revision control of all test-related documentation
  • Lead the test strategy development for new products or programs

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Math disciplines or equivalent
  • Experience designing test plans and procedures based on higher-level product specifications
  • Writing, analyzing, and reporting on test results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey findings and possible solutions to peers, management, and customers
  • A desire to find, explore, and solve new and challenging problems, including recommending improvements to test methods and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Comfortable in a lab environment

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 2+ years experience in aerospace or other advanced technology product testing
  • Experience testing devices and hardware that operate at radio frequencies
  • Experience working an AS9100 or ISO9001 environment
  • Experience with aerospace test standards and electronic standards testing, including MIL-STD-810, DO-160, NASA-STD-7001, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, and DO-254
