Job description

Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for Equities Trade Support Specialist

This is on-site role, 5 days in the office.

6 months initial contract with possible extensions or option to hire.Rate: $95-99 on W2, possible C2C as well.


Equities Trade Support  
 

Job Description:

· Provide direct front-office technology support to Equities traders, middle office users, and Compliance teams on the trading floor

· Monitor trading platforms and FIX network connectivity to ensure system stability and availability

· Diagnose and resolve real-time trading issues, including detailed investigation of compliance-related inquiries

· Communicate major incidents, impacts, and resolution status clearly to key stakeholders and senior management

· Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from traders, ensuring proper tracking, prioritization, and transparency

· Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for vendor and internal development teams to deliver enhancements

· Share end-to-end business workflows with Support and QA teams to strengthen regression testing and operational readiness

· Maintain and continuously improve the knowledge base, support runbooks, scripts, and technical documentation

Qualifications:

· Over 5 years of experience supporting mission-critical front-office trading applications within Equities, including U.S. Market Making, ETFs, Electronic Trading, Global Program Trading, and Convertible Bonds

· Strong understanding of high-touch trading workflows, FIX protocol, OMS platforms, IOI processing, market data, and CTM flows, Tidal or other scheduler systems

· Proven experience handling regulatory and compliance-driven requests and inquiries, including Reg NMS, Reg SHO, CAT, ACT, ORF, and TRACE

· Proficient with, SQL querying, JIRA for issue tracking, and Excel for operational analysis and reporting

· Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across front office, middle office, and control functions

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail

· Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment

· Experience with scripting and automation tools is a plus
