Job description

Job Summary:

The Senior Application Support Specialist is a senior-level position responsible for the administration and development of SharePoint Online. This role requires extensive expertise in SharePoint Online including Power Automate and Power Apps.   They are dedicated to staying up to date with new technology advancements and recommending ways to leverage these technologies for the benefit of the organization.  They play a crucial role in identifying areas for improvement, problem resolution, and educating the SharePoint Business Analysts and Site Owners.  The Senior Application Support Specialist also provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the SharePoint Business Analysts and Site Owners.  They advocate the use of new SharePoint functionality.

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Serve as the primary administrator and technical expert for SharePoint Online, supporting site management, migrations, forms, workflows, employee directory tools, storage, and governance.
  • Ensure the stability, security, performance, and availability of SharePoint and intranet environments through monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and issue resolution.
  • Manage SharePoint content architecture, including content types, site columns, templates, analytics, reporting, and compliance with governance standards.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts, coordinate with vendors and IT teams, and act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Plan, test, implement, and maintain SharePoint solutions while developing scripts, documentation, and technical procedures.
  • Provide user support, training, and after-hours on-call assistance, while creating knowledge materials and troubleshooting guides.
  • Communicate project status, system changes, risks, and issues to stakeholders, management, and end users.
  • Stay current with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint technologies, recommend improvements, and support related business applications and processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Technical Experience: Ten or more years of related SharePoint Online administration experience, with focus on setup, migration, monitoring critical events, development of workflows and forms, and creating documentation. Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, JavaScript, Visual Studio. Dayforce, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, and Microsoft SSIS are a plus. 
  • Certifications: Advanced certifications in SharePoint Online, Power Apps are preferred.
  • Other: Valid Driver’s License required.
