Job Title: Equity Cash Trading - Sales Trading Desk Support (Analyst)

Location: Boston

Role Overview

This position is a junior-level support role on the Equity Cash Sales Trading desk, reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with senior sales traders. The role is designed to provide broad exposure to the day-to-day activities of an institutional equity trading environment, offering hands-on experience across client coverage, trade support, and desk operations.

The successful candidate will play an important role in keeping the sales trading desk running efficiently by supporting client interactions, assisting with deal-related activity, and handling core operational and administrative functions. This individual will be embedded with the desk, gaining firsthand insight into market dynamics, client workflows, and the coordination required between sales, trading, and internal teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation in equity markets, develop practical market knowledge, and learn directly from experienced professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to sales traders covering institutional equity clients
  • Assist with client coverage efforts, including preparing materials, tracking interactions, and supporting follow-up
  • Support deal flow by helping coordinate orders, monitoring execution progress, and maintaining internal tracking
  • Answer and route inbound phone calls, responding promptly and professionally to client and internal inquiries
  • Help manage and prioritize daily workflow to ensure smooth desk operations
  • Coordinate closely with trading, operations, compliance, and other internal partners to support client and desk needs
  • Maintain awareness of market activity and provide ad hoc support related to market events, client requests, or trade activity
  • Assist with administrative and organizational tasks, including scheduling, reporting, and data upkeep
  • Contribute to a high-functioning desk environment by proactively identifying issues and supporting process efficiency

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong interest in equity markets, trading, and institutional sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
