Position Description:
CGI is seeking a highly skilled production engineer to provide critical support for the trading desk for the Fixed Income product set. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, performance and scalability of real time trading systems. You will engage directly with Traders and Development teams to optimize trading workflows, troubleshoot complex issues and help drive continuous improvement in both the processes and the environment while sitting at trading desk floor.
The role is ideal for a problem solver who can thrive under pressure, able to balance technical ability with business acumen and communicate well to the trading desks. The team follow technology policies for change, incident and problem management with roles and responsibilities clearly defined. Ensure that support procedures and activities are followed diligently and suitably documented.
You will be part of an existing team and will ensure applications are maintained and monitored to provide a stable environment for all users. You will help the engineering culture that seeks to automate and reduce manual effort in order to reduce risk and costs.
Onsite at least 4 days week. Need to be in office trading desk in the morning by 7:00 AM before market opens. This position is located in New York, NY
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Incident Management & Postmortem Excellence: Respond rapidly to production incidents with data driven decision making, minimizing downtime and financial impact. Lead root cause analysis and conduct blameless postmortems
. Monitoring & Automation: Enhance application health monitoring and implement automation to reduce manual intervention and improve system resilience
. Communication: Provide clear, timely updates to business stakeholders and senior technologists during incidents and follow ups.
. Collaboration: Partner with development teams to design and deploy fault tolerant, scalable solutions aligned with business goals
. Governance & Compliance: Enforce and adhere to change, incident, and problem management policies, as well as bank specific non-financial risk frameworks
. Mentorship: Support the growth of junior team members and promote a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement
. Trading desk knowledge - Fixed Income Rates or Credit. Need to work directly with traders in a live trading environment. 4 days/week client site is must. Need to be in office trading desk in the morning at 7:00 AM before market opens.
. Proven experience in a production support, SRE, or DevOps role within a trading or financial services environment.
. Knowledge of the Fixed Income product set, related market events, market data feeds and an understanding of the trading lifecycle (order routing, execution and settlement).
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Proven expertise in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and service reliability, ensuring high system availability and SLA compliance.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $95,500.00 $167,200.00.
