About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Associate within Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) as a part of Wholesale Operations. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com


In this role, you will:

  • Provide support in retention of existing clients and referral of international banking issues within trade services

  • Issue, advise and direct collections in accordance with Trade Services standards

  • Amend letters of credit and process documentation

  • Identify opportunities for growth opportunity through client referrals

  • Receive direction from leadership while developing understanding of trade services, policies, and procedures

  • Process complex letters of credit documentation

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Trade Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of international trade services experience or equivalent, with strong knowledge of trade finance products and processes, including letters of credit, collections, open account transactions, and related documentation handling

  • CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) certification preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the ability to navigate multiple systems, applications, and tools

  • Experience supporting trade operations, including static data maintenance, reporting, and metrics management

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across teams

  • Proven ability to manage high-volume transaction processing, increasing operational complexity, and time-sensitive or high-value transactions in a production-driven environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, assess risks and recommend effective solutions

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, risk mitigation and adherence to operational controls and compliance requirements

  • Customer focused mindset with the ability to understand client needs, provide appropriate solutions, and identify referral opportunities

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
