This position will follow our hybrid work model; we expect the selected candidate to work 2-3 days a week at one of our corporate offices in Memphis, TN, and Saint Petersburg, FL.
Job Summary
You will be a member of the AMS Freedom Trading team. As the Asset Management Trading Associate, you will use the knowledge and skills gained through work experience to review and apply model portfolio overlays on Mutual Fund/ETF (MF/ETF) managed account platforms using exchange-traded products. You will be working under general supervision; the role involves using established procedures and guidelines to execute various trading and analytical tasks that require evaluation and complex decision-making. This includes executing trades and resolving account issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Overlay accounts to pre-defined MF/ETF trading models and execute trades based on product guidelines.
  • Analyze individual account data to identify outliers of current model positions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Research and resolve complex account errors, providing necessary trade corrections.
  • Administer team workflow, ensuring timely processing of trade requests.
  • Perform tax loss harvesting.
  • Perform a variety of report generation and review.
  • Field questions and resolve issues from various internal departments and branches.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
  • General knowledge of managed account practices.
  • Principles of banking and finance and securities industry trading and operations.
  • Knowledge of products, including equities, ETFs, and Mutual Funds.
  • Financial markets and investment products and services.
  • Mathematical ability sufficient to calculate transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Intermediate Excel experience.

Skill in:
  • Advanced analytical skills: analyze data to draw logical conclusions and interpret results for use in decision-making.
  • Personal resilience while providing high-level customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving that is sufficient to effectively analyze, research, and resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.

Ability to:
  • Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple activities/tasks simultaneously and complete work efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Attend to detail while maintaining a big-picture orientation.
  • Identify the needs of customers through effective questioning and listening techniques.
