Position Overview
If you want an exciting job with one of the largest off-price retailers in the nation, join Burlington Stores, Inc. team as a Logistics Track and Trace Analyst! The Logistics Track and Trace Analyst will play a vital role in ensuring all inbound shipments arrive at one of our DC campuses on time and in compliance with Burlington's routing and shipping guidelines. This position will generate and publish reports on the status of all domestic and international purchase orders. Key responsibilities include tracking and managing the movement of purchase orders, identifying key and low performing vendors, while collaborating closely with merchant partners to summarize and share relevant details. This role works within the merchandising operations sector and involves communication and reporting for a designated area of business. The work has a direct impact on the receipt and flow of goods to over 1,000 stores. The position involves internal interactions with merchant teams, merchandising operations and supply chain partners. Externally, the analyst will engage with Burlington's vendor and carrier communities.
A Day In The Life
Analysis:
  • Responsible for the track and trace of inbound freight shipments from multiple vendor distribution centers to Burlington's DC campuses.
  • Analyze and monitor vendor performance on a regular basis. Ability to identify low performing vendors and create strategic action plans to improve overall shipping performance.
  • Demonstrate forward thinking and proactively come up with ideas and suggested solutions to address potential issues.

Relationship Management:
  • Focus on building strong relationships with merchants by maintaining a reputation of credibility and responsiveness to others.
  • Assist merchants by providing support and analysis as needed regarding the whereabouts of their merchandise.
  • Build partnerships with vendors, domestic carriers, and various internal partners to ensure timely pick up & deliveries.
  • Navigate internal and external partnerships in person and virtually to review any issues or concerns, and to coordinate timely shipments.
  • Approach challenges as opportunities and resolve in a positive manner.

Reporting:
  • Generate daily reporting to track and monitor the movement of all purchase orders from creation to receipt.
  • Responsible for coordinating, preparing, and driving recap meetings with all levels of our merchant and leadership teams.
  • Create ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Ability to publish accurate reports in a timely manner with a strong attention to detail.

Communication:
  • Communicate critical information to internal and external partners in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Ability to effectively run internal and external partner meetings independently, adapting to different audiences and situations.

You'll Come With
  • Ability to interact with all levels, vendors, carriers, 3rd party providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint needed.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish, Korean or Chinese) a plus.
  • Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.
  • Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and client relations skills.
  • Must have good organization and time management skills.
  • Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.

  • Flexible work schedule that may be required during peak season for non-standard work hours.
  • Possible minimal travel including day trips to our New York office and local stores.
