 Ordnance Logistics HAZMAT Inspector/Shipping Clerk

Opportunity

The mission of NSWG-2 Logistics Support Unit (LOGSUPPU) is to plan, coordinate, integrate, synchronize, and provide logistics support for the Commander, Naval Special Warfare Group Two and its subordinate units to directly support NSW operations and training in peace, crisis, and wartime, at home and forward deployed. 


 * This position is contingent on contract award *


Security Requirement:

  • Must possess SECRET security clearance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with supported commands and prepare required documentation to facilitate movement of munitions in support of NSWG-2 and its component commands.
  • Provides detailed technical advice and assistance pertaining to the movement of munitions via all modes of transportation. Use technical publications to facilitate shipment priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Have in-depth knowledge and experience related to the duties of a shipping clerk garnered from at least a minimum of three (3) years' experience within the past 5 years. Ordnance HAZMAT shipping experience
  • Have AMMO-62 Technical Transportation of HAZMAT certification for shipping (preferred). If not previously certified, employee must be prepared to complete the AMMO-62 HAZMAT Course upon soonest available opening.
  • Must have documentation of previous Ordnance Qualification/Certification Board Membership.
  •  Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Maintain forklift license up to 6,000lb capacity.
  • Must meet the requirements to obtain and check out government vehicles / CESE for use in their official duties.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
  • Be able to enter data into multiple databases accurately.
