Job description

Ordnance Logistics Hazmat Inspector/Shipping Clerk

JEB Little Creek - Fort Story, Virginia Beach, VA : SECRET

Assist the Weapons Department in day-to-day Ordnance operations.

Coordinates with supported commands and prepare required documentation to facilitate movement of munitions in support of NSWG-2 and its component commands.

Provides detailed technical advice and assistance pertaining to the movement of munitions via all modes of transportation. Use technical publications to facilitate shipment priorities and be familiar with DD Form 2790 and DD Form 626.

Have in-depth knowledge and experience related to the duties of a shipping clerk garnered from at least a minimum of three (3) years' Ordnance Hazmat shipping experience within the past 3 years.

Have AMMO-62 Hazmat Certifier certification for shipping.

Documentation of previous Ordnance Qualification/Certification Board Member.

Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.
